Simion, or Sim for short, is an eighteen year old with blue-white hair and the foster son of Amigo.
Coined “The Doppelganger,” he can make unlimited copies of himself, and does so easily in efforts to annoy, argue, and/or fight.

His number one rival is Tali, who always gets on his nerves.

Lycurgushi

1358878688.quatrebornes_qfinishedlarge

(Previously Q from Talvia. Now Lycurgushi from Nemoria)

Lycurgushi came to Edmond approximately 10 years a go, begging to join his faction to destroy the Phoenix as retribution for a former reincarnation’s destruction of a town in his homeland, Nemoria.

Ly is what is called a Nemorian. They are a species of man-animal hybrids who live in forested and underdeveloped areas so they can be close to nature. One could say they are the Native Gaians. Being this species, Ly’s eyes are sensitive to sunlight and his ears better equipped than a normal human’s.

Ly loves guns and makes use of a Negator(which restricts the use of his Rez and Ki), and as such was ostracized by other Talvians for being “too human”.
Once he moves in with Edmond, he becomes addicted to music, using it to calm him.

Ly’s name, Lycurgushi, which is “four” in Nemorian. He was named such because he was the fourth mixblood born in his tribe. He goes by “Ly” instead of his real name as he doesn’t like being identified by a number.

Ly is as far removed from Talvian blood as he can be without being restricted from living in Nemoria. He was part of the Saluki tribe, which was known for mating with humans. Other Nemorians would periodically make fun of him for his humanity, the Jackal tribe being one of the worst. Yecht and Sven were the first victims of Ly’s Resonance Soul- The Soul Stealer.

(Previously known as Hirun Hikari)

A seventeen year old with no Resonance Soul that lives in the slums of Dexterity.

He and Fell grew up together– both having been abandoned by their parents.

Hikari has managed to take control of the slums as a sort of impromptu gang leader. He is a symbol of hope for orphans and the powerless.

Hikari is the person behind Fell’s wire implants. It was he who orchestrated the deal between Fell and Roy Salamandra the scientist.

Fell Askasa

(Previously known as Fortenra Askasa)

Fell Askasa is the eighteen year old boyfriend of Tali Heartlie. He frequently wears suits, as that is the required dress for the restaurant he works at, which is also owned by the Heartlies. He lives with Tali in an apartment he provides.

Fell used to live in the slums, a homeless and abandoned child. His best friend and “brother” was Hikari. They formed a gang together with a few others, and owned the land for a while, before Tali “claimed” him as her boyfriend.
Growing tired of Tali’s foolishness, Fell begins to rethink his reasons for staying with the girl, and attempts to go back to his childhood roots.

In the past, Fell received surgery to have wire implants at Hikari’s request. Fell fights with wires coming from his wrists. They’re deadly and quick, preventing the need for him to use his resonance soul. Fell could be considered Hikari’s number one henchman, as he tends to do what the other says without question.
Fell isn’t sure where this trust comes from, just that it is deep, and he’ll do anything to keep it.

Amigo

The Befthar are a FREE, OPEN SPECIES.

Please read below before creating one!

The Befthar were created by Bornes and the original lineart is by JerkCentral

Rules for UseHistory & CulturePhysical Attributes

RULES FOR USE

  • NO SELLING BEFTHAR DRAGONS.
Adopts, colors, character design, etc. Trades, gifts, etc. are fine. But no money exchanges hands. Not even fake currency like DA points, gaia gold, etc.
  • NO GENITALIA
They weren’t designed so please don’t design your own and put it in your art.
  • PLACE CREDIT SOMEWHERE
Credit the Befthar FA Account, or Bornes for creation, or Jerkcentral if you used the free to use lineart. Or do all three if you feel especially good that day.
  • KEEP THE HISTORY IN MIND
It’s open to interpretation and you can feel free to diverge from it, but at least read it once. Thank you.
  • PLURAL OF BEFTHAR IS “BEFTHAR”.
Don’t ever say “befthars.” If you really want to put an ‘s’ on something, call them “befthar dragons.”
Generally the easiest way to plural befthar is just calling the species “the befthar.”
  • NO WINGS.
A befthar will never have wings. If it has wings, it is not a Befthar anymore.
Befthar should not have a desire to fly.

BEFTHAR HISTORY/CULTURE

The Befthar are an incredibly rare dragon, said to have been the bridge between the spirit realm and humans, having taught shamanic practices to The First People.

As the “more civilized” world began to look down on magico-religious practices, the Befthar became hunted for the magical properties of their body parts.

Every Befthar has an elemental magic theme in their design– this is the element they specialize in. However, all Befthar are able to do any sort of magic to a lesser degree than their specialty.

Befthar come in all different sorts of colors, personalities, and designs. However, they are a species that is close to the ground and in-tune with nature. Their beliefs vary but fall in line with many of the stereotypes of witch doctors and/or native people. They mostly subscribe to the Gaia Theory.

Generally, they stay out of physical confrontation. They are only ‘dragons’ in the vaguest sense in this regard. They use their magic to fight for them, often in very out-of-the-box ways. For example, one unlucky man tried to kill the last remaining Befthar. That Befthar decided the man would be cursed to slowly turn into a Befthar himself, becoming the last Befthar after the curser’s death.

Befthar are very open to interpretation, so I’m eager to see what you can come up with!
In my timeline, Befthar are rare, and this is how they act. But if you have another timeline– say before humans became truly ‘civilized’– who’s to say they would behave the same way? Perhaps they stayed in herds, fought wars, or partnered with medicine men?

BEFTHAR ATTRIBUTES

The Befthar are about the size of a grizzly bear.
They have scales over most of their body, except for their “hair” which is all feathers.

Befthar have compound eyes (bugs eyes). They can come in any (number) of colors and designs, but keep in mind the lens shape and texture.

Their faces are very flat. If they stand on their hind legs and look down at you, the head can take on a vaguely human appearance and may be were aboriginals got the ideas for their masks.
If viewed from the side, the flat-ness becomes a bit more obvious.
Try not to give the head proportions you are used to. Try to draw a kite instead. That is the best example I can give. It is supposed to look very odd from a profile view.

Ears are soft, formed of mostly down feathers.

Tongue is long and prehensile.

Feet are based on an anteater’s.

Their main diet is termites, but also other types of bugs.

The free line art is of a Befthar from an arid region. Designs for other Befthar may differ, but they NEVER have wings.

Befthar can create illusions to appear as another thing, but cannot truly transform themselves. They can, however, transform others.

Deer

1450949798.bornes_deer-fursuit-refI’ve been wanting an antlered fursuit ever since I got rid of my old deer one. After looking at a bunch of cervine-related stuff I got some inspiration and decided this might be the one.

Have no idea what species it could be but whatever it’s furry fandom nobody really cares about that stuff, right??

Sorry for the watermark, I’m just a bit defensive over this one.

Qamerie

1457338994.bornes_qameriefaThis thing I spent the past 2 days designing.

I finally used those waitresses bases for something LOL. Of course it looks pretty crappy all frankensteined together like this.
But it’s just for an idea until I can get it drawn properly.

Anyway the story behind this.
I wanted to make a cool fursuit that would be easy to make and wear. And hopefully this will be it. (Minus those ears. Those will be a pain)
Nothing’s going to become of it though for at least a year. I will have to wait until after I move to even start it.

Also, I like oversize hands and feet, but wanted to do something not toony with them.
For the fursuit, I am not sure if the black will be fur or not. I am thinking it would look less ridiculous if it was fur that was shaved properly. But I’m assuming that’ll be difficult to pull off well for a first time fursuit. So the black limbs might end up being fleece.
The tail’s black will probably be horse hair or something similar.

All the crescents will be mesh, not fur. As will the eye markings.

I haven’t figured out what I’m doing with the eyes yet. I think one color would be best. But white usually looks too creepy and black might blend in too much.

The head will be a resin blank. For now I’ve picked out this one (white tail doe from DVC), but it may change.

The tail will be made from white piping custom bent/warped via heat. The black hair will be draped over it and taped or glued on for ease. Then white fur will go over top the mess somehow.
It this won’t work, the pipe will be covered with white fur first, then black hair which has been dyed white or clear in the middle will be draped over it and tied at the bottom somehow.

The butt end of the tail is left uncovered. It will go through a hole in the body suit. Inside the bodysuit will be a T section that the tail will plug into. To make washing the suit easier and also to hopefully rig some sort of side to side movement of the tail.
